We are looking for an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to join a growing team based in Leeds working on the Yorkshire Water framework. This role will involve 2 days a week in the office with flexibility to work from home.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and deliver electrical engineering projects within Yorkshire Water's infrastructure.
* Develop project scopes, technical specifications, and design solutions aligned with client requirements and regulatory standards.
* Oversee contractors and suppliers, ensuring work complies with technical, quality, and safety standards.
* Conduct site visits to monitor project progress and resolve technical issues as they arise.
* Prepare and review documentation, including risk assessments, method statements, and technical reports.
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, including CDM requirements.
* Support project planning, scheduling, and budgeting to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
* Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members as needed.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
* Proven experience in the UK water sector, particularly working on water treatment or wastewater projects.
* Comprehensive knowledge of electrical systems.
* Strong understanding of health and safety legislation, including CDM regulations.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Skills:
* Experience with Yorkshire Water's systems and processes is highly desirable.
* Proficiency in engineering software and tools relevant to electrical design and project management.
