GE - Renewable Energy would like to recruit a Lead Controls Engineer with expertise in designing low voltage control schemes for power transformers to work in our Grid Solutions business from our Stafford office.
Job Responsibilities:
* Preparation of control schematics, specifications, general arrangement drawings, cable schedules for control cabinets (marshalling kiosks) of power transformers, including interfacing with relays, tap-changers and other transformer components and SCADA / central control system.
* Selection and specification of components for ordering and manufacturing, review of supplier drawings, carrying out Factory Acceptance Tests.
* Key Performance Indicators of on-time delivery, right first time and budget adherence.
* Experience in Low Voltage Switchgear schematics and related Automation.
* Experience of PLC programming / automation software will be preferred (not essential).
* Leading communication/co-ordination with internal and external stakeholders (customers, suppliers, other departments such as projects, tendering, manufacturing, quality, procurement, etc).
Education And Experience:
* Electrical or Instrumentation or Controls or Mechanical engineer or person with similar experience (in Power Transformers).
* Experience of working on Autocad Electrical.
* Experience of Document management system (WindChill / equivalent).
* Transformer design knowledge (especially transformer design calculations, active part design including lead exits, insulation, windings, nesting of coils and tank design).
* Should have worked independently done control schematics and component specifications.
* Shall be able to demonstrate GE Vernova Way (Innovation, Customers, Lean, One team, Accountable).
* Shall demonstrate focus on Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost.
