An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Supply Chain Manager to join the team at our Wembley site.
Job Purpose:
The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the entire supply chain process. This role ensures that the supply chain operations are efficient, cost-effective, and meet the company’s goals for product availability, quality, and customer satisfaction.
Main Duties:
1. Develop and implement strategies to optimize the flow of goods, services, and information across the supply chain.
2. Conduct demand forecasting and capacity planning to ensure the business can meet customer needs while minimizing costs.
Inventory Management:
1. Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock is maintained while minimizing waste and stockouts.
2. Implement inventory management systems and tools to improve tracking and forecasting.
Logistics & Distribution:
1. Coordinate the logistics and distribution process, ensuring efficient delivery of goods to customers and stores.
2. Optimize warehouse operations and transportation to reduce costs and improve delivery times.
3. Lead, motivate, and manage a team of supply chain professionals.
4. Conduct performance reviews, training, and development activities for team members.
5. Foster a collaborative and problem-solving environment within the team.
Process Improvement & Efficiency:
1. Continuously assess supply chain processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
2. Implement lean methodologies and best practices to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
Compliance & Risk Management:
1. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies.
2. Manage risks related to supply chain disruptions, including economic, environmental, and geopolitical risks.
3. Utilize supply chain software, ERP systems, and other technology tools to streamline operations.
4. Prepare regular reports on supply chain performance, including KPIs such as inventory turnover, delivery times, and cost savings.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:
1. Work closely with cross-functional teams including production, sales, finance, and marketing to align supply chain strategies with business goals.
2. Engage with external stakeholders, including suppliers, logistics providers, and third-party service providers.
Requirements, Experience and Person Specification:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or related field (Master’s preferred).
2. Years of experience in supply chain management, logistics, or operations.
3. Strong understanding of supply chain processes, logistics, inventory management, and procurement.
4. Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and supply chain software.
5. Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and communication skills.
6. Leadership experience with a demonstrated ability to manage and develop teams.
7. Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail.
8. Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
9. Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance requirements.
