Site Supervisor - required for our client who are one of the UK's largest and most successful Surface & Highways Companies. The Site Supervisor will be based in to cover either the M4 - M40 corridor / Hampshire / Oxfordshire/ Sheffield area. The Site Supervisor will be working on a range of surfacing projects such as Highways, Retail, Rail, Aviation, Commercial and Defence.
The Site Supervisor will be implementing and promoting the company health and safety policy whilst supervising surfacing works and assisting the Contracts Manager in day-to-day management and delivery of the project. The Supervisor will ensure that the project is kept in line with safety, quality, cost control and delivery of programme to client's satisfaction. The Supervisor must have previous experience in a similar role within Highways or surfacing and hold a valid NRSWA and SMSTS Card.

Salary up to £60k depending on experience

Site Supervisor Position Overview
1. Manage and comply with all Health and Safety requirements
2. Produce forward programme for contracts manager including material, labour and plant requirements
3. Monitor progress of works programmes and advise of movement during period
4. Undertake required number of Site Inspections and Safety Tours
5. Complete L, P & M Return
6. Raise NCR's and provide supporting information
7. Manage operations to ensure best use of resource
8. Liaise closely with commercial and QS teams to enhance value of contracts
Site Supervisor Position Requirements
1. NVQ level 3 / 4 construction supervision - Desirable
2. Surfacing and highways experience
3. CSCS, SMSTS, NRSWA
4. Site measurement experience
5. Understanding of CDM regulations and relevant standards and specifications
6. Experience of dealing with the commercial elements to capture all costs and potential value streams
7. Good understanding of operational procedures
8. Understand programme and outputs to forward plan works for all allocated schemes.
9. Experience of workplace task hazard identification (SSRA & DJB)
