Key Responsibilities:
Handle a variety of commercial property matters including acquisitions, disposals, landlord and tenant work, and leases within the local market.
Provide expert legal advice on property matters tailored to the specifics of the local area, such as local planning laws, development opportunities, and property values.
Conduct due diligence including local searches, title investigations, and reviewing planning consents specific to the region.
Draft and negotiate property-related legal documents such as leases, contracts, and agreements for clients operating in the local area.
Manage relationships with local clients including SMEs, property developers, and landlords, ensuring a high level of service and understanding of local business needs.
Liaise with local authorities, estate agents, and third parties to ensure smooth completion of property transactions.
Monitor local property trends, legislative changes, and community developments to provide informed and up-to-date advice to clients.
Assist in business development by leveraging local contacts, networking, and identifying new opportunities in the community.
Collaborate with other departments, offering expertise on commercial property in the local area to support wider firm initiatives.
Key Requirements:
Qualified Solicitor with [X] years PQE in commercial property law, with a focus on the local/regional market.
Strong knowledge of local property laws, planning regulations, and commercial property trends.
Experience handling a variety of local commercial property transactions, including lease agreements, acquisitions, and disposals.
Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
