This gives added value to our Apprenticeship qualifications, as it provides the vital rungs on the ladder for our Apprentices to become fully chartered scientists in their employment sectors. Job Role Your primary duty is to guide and support learners through every stage of their apprenticeship. You will be responsible for training and coaching apprentices in the knowledge, skills and behaviours required level 3 to level 6 apprenticeships that are predominantly in the science sector depending on the standards you will work on. The role involves employing a blended learning approach, incorporating online delivery and face to face interactions. Additionally, you will conduct observations of learners in their workplace to gather evidence and adapt to face-to-face delivery as and when required by the business. You will liaise closely with any tutor delivering the academic elements of the apprenticeships to ensure a consistent approach. Full training will be given. This is a remote role; you will be required to travel to employer’s premises so must be flexible with travel across England. You will need to use your own vehicle for this travel and mileage expenses claimed. Key Responsibilities To undertake vocational assessment and support allocated cohort of apprentices to build a portfolio of evidence focused on successful completion of End Point Assessment. To ensure that appropriate materials are prepared, and assessments are undertaken in a timely manner. To undertake administration and provide reports and statistics regarding student and teaching matters. Establish professional working relationships with employers and line managers of apprentices communicating regularly on progress. To contribute to the continuous development of competence, taking into consideration functional, key, and basic skills development and equality and diversity. To participate in appropriate standardisation meetings to share best working practice. Essential Attributes A BSc/MSc degree in a science-related subject At least 2 years of experience in an industrial laboratory setting Strong communication skills and be able to adapt style to customers and learners Be approachable and understanding to learners Have a desire to continuously improve and develop delivery content for self and share with others in the team Be self-motivated and ability to work effectively on own and as part of a team Effective time management and organisation skills Have a clean full UK driving license and have access to your own vehicle Desirable Attributes Level 3 Assessor Award in assessment competence in the workplace Previous experience of assessing competence in a laboratory-based environment Previous experience of assessing various standards including scientific and complimentary standards Salary: £25,000 to £33,000 per year
