Job Title: Mechanical Engineer Overview: As a Mechanical Engineer, you will report to the Oil & Gas Engineering Manager and provide technical expertise in engineering design, documentation, and project support. You will contribute to problem-solving, innovation, and ensuring projects meet quality, cost, and delivery goals. Key Responsibilities: Solve complex technical problems and drive innovation across teams. Identify issues in existing products/processes and propose improvements. Assist the Engineering Manager in hiring, training, and developing engineering talent. Review team work for technical accuracy and ensure alignment with business objectives. Facilitate communication and collaboration across teams for effective project execution. Review technical/commercial aspects of project specifications. Design mechanical schematics and ensure compliance with company standards. Generate required documentation throughout all project stages. Ensure certification and QA/QC standards are met. Write material specifications and manage procurement for projects. Participate in project design reviews with engineers and the engineering manager. What We Look For: Essential: Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Strong numeracy skills and experience with project documentation (e.g., hydraulic schematics, design calculations). Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. HNC or equivalent in Control/Mechanical Engineering. Preferred: Experience in O&G hydraulic control systems (operational or design). Familiarity with hydraulic components and assembly practices. BSc/BEng in Control/Mechanical Engineering (desirable).
