Say hello to the person you would be supporting "I`m a young lady in my early forties and I`m looking for someone special to join the team of dedicated, professional, female carers who look after me 24 hours a day. I have lots of interests and hobbies and I hope that most of the time I am fun to be around. I like listening to music, dancing, cooking, going to the cinema, tenpin bowling, fun fair rides and walks. I really enjoy going out for meals." "I have lots of health issues including autism, diabetes and epilepsy. My speech is limited and can be difficult to understand so my support workers and I use Makaton to help communicate with each other. Sometimes I can become upset, and I can show signs of distressed behavour, but the support staff all have training in how to help keep me calm. I need support with shopping, cooking, cleaning and personal care. Staff also help with my medication and appointments." "I live on my own in a two bedroomed bungalow in a quiet part of Quarriers Village. I have my own car which staff use to take me shopping and on outings. I like meeting people and chatting. I enjoy having people around me who enjoy a joke but who can also be trusted to be firm and fair in order to keep me safe." Are you someone who could support this person?
