We’re looking for an Associate Lecturer to teach Biology in the Faculty of Maths and Science. Exeter College effectively provides a Sixth Form for the whole of Exeter as well as drawing students from across the region due to our reputation for excellence.
As an Associate Lecturer you’ll work as a classroom teacher and have access to extensive teaching resources. As a biology specialist you’re likely to focus on A/AS level and biology units within the BTEC Applied Science course. We have a specific need for approximately 15 hours of AS level teaching a week until Easter, with likely cover work across the faculty in addition and beyond. There may be additional opportunities to support with interviewing students, promoting the college at open evenings and other events. The start date would be as soon as possible. This is an excellent opportunity to get your foot in the door of a strong department in an outstanding faculty.
Our faculty delivers courses at A Level and BTEC Applied Science (level 3), Access to HE Diploma, the International Baccalaureate and a small GCSE offer. We’ve had sustained growth with excellent outcomes and Value-Added over many years. The faculty actively listens to its learners, and we have very positive learner feedback. You’ll be joining a positive team with a strong commitment to sharing ideas and resources. You’ll have a mentor and support in faculty as well as wider college support.
