About the Role:
We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Facilities Coordinator to join this team at a prestigious higher education institution in Bristol. In this role, you will be responsible for managing maintenance and compliance across the residential estate, ensuring that the facilities are safe, efficient, and well-maintained for staff and students.
This is a flexible, part-time role offering 4 days per week on a fixed-term 6-month contract, with the potential for extension. If you have strong attention to detail, excellent computer skills, and experience working in facilities management, we would love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintenance Coordination: Oversee the regular maintenance of the residential estate, ensuring repairs and preventative work are carried out in a timely manner.
* Compliance Management: Ensure all facilities comply with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
* Monitoring Systems: Use computer-based systems to track maintenance schedules, requests, and compliance documentation.
* Vendor Liaison: Manage relationships with contractors and service providers, ensuring quality service delivery and value for money.
* Problem Resolution: Address any facility-related issues or emergencies, acting swiftly to minimize disruption to staff and students.
* Reporting: Maintain accurate records and provide regular updates on the status of maintenance and compliance matters.
* Support to Facilities Team: Assist with the planning and execution of any estate upgrades or improvements, working closely with the wider facilities team.
Skills & Experience Required:
* Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail, ensuring all tasks are completed to a high standard.
* Excellent Computer Skills: Proficiency in using office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite) and facilities management software.
* Facilities Management Knowledge: Previous experience in a facilities coordination role, ideally in a residential or higher education environment.
* Strong Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
* Compliance Understanding: Knowledge of relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
* Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal teams and external contractors.
