Trainer Assessor – Motor Vehicle (Light & HGV) Ref: 94141 Location: Castleford College ⏳ Hours: 37 hours per week Salary: £34,215 - £36,293 per year We have an exciting opportunity for a Trainer Assessor to join our Motor Vehicle team at Castleford College. This role offers the chance to share your industry knowledge and expertise with the next generation of automotive professionals, helping them develop essential skills for their careers. About the Role: As a Trainer Assessor, you will work closely with learners in their workplace, assessing their skills against National Occupational Standards within the automotive sector. You will also collaborate with employers to support apprenticeship training and skill development. What We’re Looking For: We are seeking a qualified Motor Vehicle professional who is passionate about training and mentoring young people, adults, and apprentices. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Light and Heavy Goods Vehicles and a desire to inspire learners to achieve their full potential. Essential Requirements: ✔ Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle and Heavy Goods Vehicle ✔ Assessor qualification (D32/D33, TAQA, or A1), or willingness to work towards one ✔ GCSEs (A-C / 9-4) in English and Maths or equivalent ✔ A full UK driving licence and access to transport ✔ Up-to-date practical experience in the motor vehicle sector Key Skills & Attributes: ✅ Ability to motivate and inspire learners ✅ Strong communication and organisational skills ✅ Experience working with employers to develop training opportunities For full details, please refer to the job description and person specification.
