Job summary The post holder will provide a full range of secretarial and administrative duties to support the Deputy Chief Nurse and Chief AHP & Director of Therapies and Nursing and Therapies team. To work with minimum of supervision, using own initiative to plan time effectively, prioritise work on a daily/weekly basis responding and communicating appropriately to urgent/important issues and work. Responsible for the line management of the Band 3 under the supervision of the Deputy Chief Nurse. Main duties of the job ? Provide a high level of secretarial and administrative support to the Deputy Chief Nurse and Chief AHP and Director of Therapies and Associate Directors, including a high standard of diary management and organisation when arranging meetings etc. ? Manage own workload and use initiative to keep to deadlines. ? Draft agendas, use initiative to set up meetings, ensure agendas and minutes are sent out within agreed timescales and catering arrangements are made, equipment required is set up and in good working order. Ensure papers are prepared and available for each meeting. ? Follow-up outstanding issues which emerge from the Department's work and meetings. ? Accurate typing of reports some of which may be of a confidential nature ? Use Microsoft Office suite software to a high standard, especially Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel and have experience of using Intranet and Internet sites. ?
