Do you have a passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in a classroom environment? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a strong candidate to support teaching and learning at Arunside Primary School.
The successful candidate will:
1. work closely with teachers and the SENDCo to raise standards and help each pupil make good progress.
2. work with individuals and groups of children both in and outside of the classroom, under the direction of a teacher and SENDCo.
The successful candidate should ideally:
1. be qualified to NVQ Level 3 or working towards the qualification.
2. be flexible and work as part of a team.
3. have an ability to work independently and with initiative.
4. be patient and calm.
5. have experience working with children who have additional needs, desirably in an SSC or specialist setting.
6. understand working on individual plans and EHCPs.

Learning Support Assistant 8.30 am to 3.15 p.m, Monday to Friday, term time only – 27.75 hours per week pro rota.
Midday Meals Supervisor – 2.5 hours per week (Grade 2).
