A new, exciting opportunity has arisen for in Children and Young Peoples Services. We are looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious individual to join the team as Service Manager in the Community & Rehabilitation Care Group.
This is a key role in delivering an effective service though driving development and capturing impact. The role presents a good opportunity for someone who seeks to make a positive difference to patient care. The role will actively support pathway development, patient outcomes, people (staff) and operational performance.
The post holder will support the delivery of daily operational delivery, cost improvement plans and activity review within the Care Group and line manage the deputy and assistant service managers.
The service manager reports directly into the General Manager and will be supported in development and delivery by the wider Care Group including Director of Operations and Care Group Triumvirate.
The role supports the day to day efficient and effective production and management of the defined performance areas, reporting to a General Manager and is accountable to the Director(s) of Operations.
Works closely with clinical and operational teams within the defined service areas to respond to performance issues on a day-to-day basis, and ensure issues are swiftly resolved. Facilitate effective communication between and across services areas. Facilitate or lead new initiatives and transformational programmes. Support performance improvement alongside safe and effective care to patients. Building and presenting activity data to commissioners for contract monitoring. The Service Manager will have line manager responsibilities for the administration teams as agreed by SDU leads
