The Assistant Quantity Surveyor will carry out a range of QS duties, progressing eventually to running their own sites.
It is envisioned that a successful candidate will hold a HNC or Degree level qualification within a construction-related course, be within commutable distance of the Dorchester area and have excellent communication skills. Assistant Quantity Surveyor Job Overview
Developing build cost budgets for new sites, and monitoring/reporting actual costs against the budget.
Preparing bricklayers prices
Carrying out sub-contractor tender comparisons.
Measuring quantities to check sub-contractor prices against pre-agreed schedule of rates.
Compiling material take-offs from plans.
Assisting with compilation of tenders.
Assisting in the preparation of monthly forecasts / cashflows
Record keeping and documentation associated with sub-contracts
Assistant Quantity Surveyor Job Requirements
Hold a degree, HNC, T-Level or BTEC level qualification in a construction-related field
Open to graduate / trainee level candidates
Hold a full UK Drivers License and live within commutable distance of Dorchester
