To support individuals in their care treatment plans under the supervision of senior staff, using communication and the therapeutic relationship as a means to evoke change. To take a role of supporting individuals within the inpatient and day-patient services in respect of their nutritional requirements and have a good understanding of balanced diets as well as the enhanced nutrition required for those with an eating disorder To have a working understanding of NICE guidelines for Eating Disorders and follow this in your daily work. To deliver of a range of social and recreational interventions with guidance from senior staff, both for inpatients and day patients. To have a good understanding of the care pathways for those with a diagnosis of eating disorders and associated co morbidities and develop skills in order to deliver aspects of the care pathways under the supervision of senior staff To attend training courses to develop own professional development with particular emphasis on eating disorder specific training as well as completing all mandatory training. Develop self by reading around the subject, attending supervision and learning from experienced members of the team to gain a better understanding of the illness and its treatments
