The Pharmacy team at Pulse are currently recruiting for a Band 5 MMT/ACT qualified Pharmacy Technician in Shrewsbury to support the dispensary. The successful candidate will be required to work Monday to Friday, 09:00am – 17:00pm. This role is available to start ASAP; the starting pay rate for this job is up to £22.00 per hour all inclusive.

Essential skills:
1. Experience of undertaking role of Medicines.
2. Management Pharmacy Technician within a hospital setting. (Drug taking histories, Patients own drug assessment, ordering, counselling).
3. Labelling and dispensing experience and knowledge of JAC computer system.
4. Holds the Accredited Checking Pharmacy Technician (ACPT) qualification.
5. 2 years NHS experience.
Responsibilities:
6. Ensure continuity of stock supplies to the wards.
7. Liaise with senior nurses and medical staff.
8. Liaise with the patient regarding treatment to ensure accurate contact details for delivery.
9. Screen prescriptions for NMABs and oral antiviral treatment.
10. Dispense oral medicines.
