Receptionist / Administrator
Job Description:
High Street Surgery is seeking 1 part-time and 1 full-time Receptionist/Administrators to support the day-to-day operations of our practice. This position will be responsible for providing administrative support to our team, including all reception and other admin duties. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others and a desire to work in a fast-paced, pressured environment. Experience in primary care and SystmOne is preferred although training will be provided for the right candidate. In this essential front-line role at the practice, receptionists help patients to access the right services, assist with keeping health records accurate and up-to-date, and ensure that appointment bookings are well-managed.
The main responsibilities of the role include:
* Greeting and directing all patients;
* Making appointments and giving out appointment cards, where required;
* Accepting, issuing and handing out prescriptions, letters, completed forms, specimen bottles, etc.;
* Dealing with requests for information, and managing problems and complaints;
* Advising patients of practice procedures;
* Registering new patients;
* Answering the telephone promptly.
We are looking for 3 part-time or 2 full-time persons. However, due to the nature of the job, we are unable to accommodate requests to work mornings/evenings only.

Some flexibility is required, as you will sometimes need to work additional or alternative hours to cover for colleagues.

* Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines;

* Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders;
* Experience working in an office setting where you will be required to perform essential duties of the job. This position requires regular attendance at work at our Cheshunt practice.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: From £11.50 per hour
