Support the development, delivery and review of a service education programme for Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.
The focus will be on teaching and delivering an integrated care model utilising specific clinical skills and building on this to inspire confidence of registered and non-registered clinicians to offer the highest standard of treatment and care possible in regards to mental healthcare requirements.
Work alongside staff within their respective departments, offering professionalism, leadership and clinical expertise to the wider clinical services across the whole organisation.
Assist in identifying and defining areas for improvement and develop targeted teaching and learning activities to facilitate improvement.
Independently deliver and co-ordinate the planning of educational events for external agencies.
Contribute to developing training in partnership with other specialists.
Contribute to assessing and providing a range of educational approaches that will meet the needs of a diverse group of staff.
Develop and independently deliver essential and other priority training and educational programmes optimising learning activities for practitioners.
Ensure that the organisation has an accurate up to date record of the practitioners’ training.
* Facilitate and assist the delivery, evaluation and reporting of training programs to support clinicians in demonstrating competent and evidenced based skills as expected of their role.
* Support staff in developing confidence and competence to deliver mental healthcare in line with local and national standards.
* Contribute insight and understanding of national standards, local policy and procedure that may influence a training programme.
* Contribute to ensuring that educational and training events are evaluated and redesigned, as appropriate.
* Prioritise duties to be accountable for own actions, demonstrate initiative, and ability to work autonomously within their level of competence. Adhere to registered and contracted professional codes.
* Understand the multidisciplinary influences on training agendas and provide guidance to clinicians in how to navigate the sometimes complex issues surrounding patient and staff need.
* Provide training programmes that encourage ease of attendance and engagement to support clinicians to deliver safe and effective care.
