The role will involve working on a variety of projects and tasks within the commercial finance function and wider business to support decision making. You will gather, break down and simplify data and learn about our business using a variety of methods. Hybrid working: The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.

Your role
One of the main responsibilities of this role is to navigate the numerous pricing mechanisms we have across 30+ separate contracts with the client. You will support and critically assess the proposals before they are shared with the customer, ensuring that statements of work are commercially and financially robust while identifying opportunities to optimise revenue, margin, and cash flow.
You will be a self-starter but will be supported in your role by a team of experienced finance professionals. After a period of shadowing, you will get involved in modelling tasks for new business activities. You will work closely with bid teams to produce deal information and start to make recommendations to get the best commercial outcomes for Capgemini
Your skills and experience
We are looking for someone who is proactive and brings positive ‘can-do’ attitude to their work. To be successful in the role you will:
• Be able to demonstrate you are highly numerate and can perform bespoke financial/business analysis
• Have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, rapidly enhancing your skillset to become an advanced user
• Be able to absorb complex information and add value quickly
• Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to work in an unstructured environment and able to prioritise multiple streams of work to meet tight timescales.
Skills not necessary but desirable:
• Have experience working in a complex commercial environment
• Experience of data modelling
• Qualified accountant or qualified by experience desirable but not required. Continuation of study towards a qualification may be supported
• STEM or business-related degree
• Knowledge of Power Query / SQL / Python (within excel)
Your security clearance
To be successfully appointed to this role, it is a requirement to obtain Security Check (SC) clearance.
To obtain SC clearance, the successful applicant must have resided continuously within the United Kingdom for the last 5 years, along with other criteria and requirements.
