Job Description: Vehicle Artist
Cloud Imperium Games is seeking Vehicle Artists at all levels with experience in hard surface modeling. Our artists collaborate closely with designers to create a variety of ships, setting up strike teams, and crafting beautiful, multiplayer flying levels.
The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of industrial design, technical knowledge of relevant software, and the ability to develop fully functioning ships for the Star Citizen universe. Effective communication and teamwork with designers and other disciplines are essential.
Responsibilities
1. Transform concept models and images into fully functional, flyable ships.
2. Collaborate with designers, technical artists, and partner studios to ensure correct file naming and directory structures within engine limitations.
3. Maintain high standards in modeling, texturing, PBR material creation, and design cues to ensure quality and consistency.
4. Work with technical artists and animators to deliver 'animation-ready' solutions, including landing gear, cockpits, cargo doors, and ejection seats.
