We are seeking to recruit enthusiastic and resilient sessional social care officers to work across our residential community.
Our residential community is made up of:
Brambles Cottages, 10 James Chalmers Road, Arbroath;
Pearse Street, Pearse Street Brechin;
Strathmore Centre, Strathmore Avenue, Forfar.

This job is workstyle 1 - Fixed. In this workstyle most of your time is spent undertaking the direct delivery of front-line services work. Depending on your role there may be a limited requirement to access a specific council location during the course of the working week if you are not delivering your service at a council location.
Brambles Cottages consists of two bespoke cottages on the same site. Both are modern facilities to meet the individual needs of the children and young people we support. Pearse Street is a new home based in Brechin. All three homes cater for looked after young people aged 5 years to 21. Our services are inclusive and accessible to all children and the team provide love, care and support to children and young people within Angus. Our residential childcare workers create homely, welcoming environments in which children can develop a sense of emotional safety and belonging.
Strathmore Centre is a short breaks residential facility which has a specialised remit focusing on supporting children and young people with significant and complex disabilities.
There has been a considerable investment in residential childcare by Angus Council and we are looking for supply social care officers to support our residential team. We are looking for workers with resilience who have the right personal skills and experience to support our young people. We are looking for workers who are motivated, enthusiastic and have excellent communication skills.
Please note that we ask all workers to have access to a car, including business insurance.
Our services run 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and the working pattern supports this. You may therefore be asked to carry out sleep-in and occasional waking night duties for which an allowance is payable. We are specifically looking for workers who have weekend availability.
