The Role
We seek a dynamic Maintenance Manager focused on maximizing production machine availability, maintaining high-quality utilities, and adhering to schedules. Your role involves reducing downtime, ensuring timely calibration and maintenance, and driving cost reductions for power, fuel, repairs, and maintenance. A proven track record in optimizing equipment performance and minimizing breakdowns is essential.
Responsibilities
1. Ensure production plan adherence by maintaining maximum availability and efficiency of machines and utilities.
2. Lead calibration and preventive maintenance programs for optimal machine performance.
3. Develop and implement maintenance schedules to minimize production disruptions.
4. Proactively reduce downtime by identifying and addressing potential issues.
5. Implement strategies to reduce machine breakdowns and unplanned downtime.
6. Monitor and control power and fuel consumption, identify energy-saving opportunities.
7. Manage repair and maintenance budgets, ensuring effective resource allocation.
8. Develop KPIs related to machine availability, downtime, costs, and energy efficiency.
9. Collaborate with production teams for smooth coordination of schedules and maintenance.
10. Conduct Root Cause Analysis for recurring issues and develop action plans.
11. Oversee utilities maintenance, ensuring quality and availability.
12. Manage and train maintenance technicians for efficiency and safety.
13. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
14. Evaluate equipment effectiveness, recommending upgrades or modifications.
Personal Specification
1. 5+ years experience in maintenance or facilities management, preferably in manufacturing or automotive industries.
2. Proven leadership in managing maintenance teams.
3. Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
4. Experience with CMMS and scheduling tools.
5. Excellent troubleshooting skills.
6. Knowledge of OSHA and safety standards.
7. Strong communication and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
1. Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or related field.
2. Experience in lean manufacturing or Six Sigma.
3. Familiarity with motorcycle-specific machinery.
4. Certifications like CMRP, HVAC, or PLC programming are a plus.
