This is a home-based position; however, regular travel will be required for meetings, exhibitions, and networking events.

The introduction of a dedicated veterinary nurse recruitment service is the first of its kind in our organisation and presents a unique opportunity to shape and develop the future of this division from day one. Our Talent Team consists of over 35 recruitment professionals in various roles across our First Opinion, Referral, Graduate Academy, Support Operations, Locum Engagement and Employer Brand teams. They all work closely together to ensure we remain ahead of the curve of Veterinary recruitment, and we pride ourselves on our supportive and welcoming team culture.
The Veterinary market is continually evolving, and we need a Talent Partner who can think on their feet and be proactive with their candidate attraction strategies, whilst managing a high volume of applications and facilitating an outstanding candidate experience. In this position, you will assume full control of the recruitment cycles for veterinary nurse and practice leadership roles across our UK network of first opinion veterinary clinics. Strong nursing and leadership teams play a key role in uplifting clinical standards and driving continuous improvements to patient and client care in our practices.
What it takes to succeed in this role
We’re looking for a strong communicator with a successful track record in high-volume recruitment from either an agency or in-house background, with a desire to influence positive change. Experience of recruiting in the veterinary sector or other clinical setting would be advantageous. You will bring effective candidate management, negotiation and influencing skills along with the ability to prioritise with ease. A detail-oriented and organised individual will thrive in this role, with an aptitude for effective management of systems and processes. You will have strong communication skills and be committed to building positive relationships with your stakeholders, candidates, and colleagues, along with the ability to engage with a professional audience at exhibitions and networking events. Accountability and taking ownership are key for success in this role and we require a consistent display of professionalism and performance to reflect business needs.
Your day to day will include
* Managing a portfolio of veterinary nurse and practice leadership vacancies, prioritising workload via sound commercial rationale and an appreciation of business needs
* Working in partnership with our practices to create first-class advertising in line with Employer Brand
* Proactively utilise all available social media platforms to promote our organisation and highlight career pathways for veterinary nurses and practice leaders.
* Create, maintain, and communicate with talent pools
* Screening/short-listing/interviewing all prospective candidates
* Ensuring all engagement is approached with urgency and consistent demonstration of the IVC Evidensia Employer Brand
* Driving stakeholder involvement and input into recruitment strategies, ensuring SLAs and agreements are adhered to
* Travel to exhibitions and conferences to promote our brand and discuss relevant career pathways and opportunities with industry professionals
* Actively participate in all team meetings, show awareness of and input into each Talent Partner’s challenges
* Be a positive advocate for change and supporter of colleagues’ successes
Working pattern
This is a full-time, remote position of 37.5hrs/week. Core hours are 09:00-17:00 Monday to Friday, but some travel will be required to attend occasional industry events, team meetings, and site visits. Time off in lieu will be given for any weekend events.
