The Role
We are seeking a Laboratory Sample Test Entry and Combustion Analyst to join our team, ensuring accurate and efficient processing of customer analytical requests. This role involves handling sample documentation, initiating trial procedures, and supporting combustion analysis using advanced laboratory instruments.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in laboratory operations, data interpretation, and quality assurance, contributing to the delivery of high-standard analytical services.

Hours Per Week: 37.5
Days Per Week: Monday to Friday
Contract: Full Time & Permanent
The day to day
* Verify customer analytical requests, documentation, and shipping details, ensuring accuracy in LIMS data entry.
* Conduct trial procedures, interpret data, and determine appropriate tests to meet customer requirements.
* Perform CIC, C/S analysis using LECO and Eltra instruments, ensuring turnaround times and accuracy standards are met.
* Maintain instruments through routine servicing, calibration coordination, and stock management of consumables.
* Uphold health & safety standards, including COSHH regulations, and actively contribute to H&S committee initiatives.
* Ensure analytical data meets ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 17025:2017 standards, maintaining quality assurance protocols.
The Essentials
* Proven laboratory experience with a strong understanding of LIMS and data management.
* Proficiency in Excel and ability to analyze and interpret data from matrix scans and trials.
* Strong knowledge of method scopes to select appropriate tests, particularly in minerals and metals analysis.
* Experience in combustion analysis and understanding of quality standards (ISO 9001:2015 & ISO 17025:2017).
* Excellent organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to work proactively and independently.
* Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to ensure high-quality service delivery.
