Your New Role as Semi Senior Accountant:
As a Semi Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for managing a varied portfolio of clients, providing high-quality accounting and tax services. You will prepare accounts, assist with tax compliance, and handle bookkeeping duties, working closely with Senior Accountants to ensure client needs are met. This role will allow you to develop your skills further, gain valuable experience, and take on more complex accounting tasks as you progress.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Prepare year-end accounts and tax returns for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies, ensuring accuracy and compliance with current regulations.
2. Assist with VAT returns, management accounts, and other ad hoc financial tasks.
3. Communicate directly with clients, handling queries and providing advice on their accounting needs.
4. Support the senior team with more complex assignments.
5. Help in training junior staff members.
The Experience & Qualifications Required:
The successful candidate will be studying towards or already part-qualified in ACA/ACCA, with experience in an accountancy practice. You should have a good understanding of accounting principles, tax compliance, and financial reporting. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are essential. Experience in using accounting software and managing multiple client deadlines is also required.
