This is a grade position working within StreetCare's Street Cleansing Team. This team take the lead in ensuring that this borough is a clean, safe and hygienic place to live and visit, and this is achieved by using a broad range of specialist tools, equipment and machinery. Some of the daily tasks undertaken by our StreetCare Officers include;
•Emptying litter bins
•Collection of litter and fly tipping
•Removal of graffiti and fly posting
•Street washing and gum removal
•Collection and removal of leaves, detritus and weeds
•Reacting to reports of hazardous waste such as sharps
•Operation of specialised equipment to achieve the above.
