About the Role:
As a CBRE Data Centre Technician, you will perform preventative maintenance and corrective repairs within a Data Centre operation.
What You’ll Do:
1. Assist with daily site inspections of all Mechanical & Engineering systems and technical equipment, including servicing and maintenance.
2. Ensure the site's environmental conditions provide a safe work environment.
3. React to Building Management System alarms and complete emergency repairs as needed.
4. Work with third-party vendors, ensuring compliance with company-developed processes, procedures, and all applicable laws and regulations.
5. Alert management if subcontractor performance doesn’t meet all requirements per the Master Service Agreement.
6. Complete planned preventative maintenance (PM) and reactive maintenance on all equipment.
7. Check BMS for running and alarm conditions and respond to HVAC-related client problems.
8. Conduct building walkthroughs, taking meter readings from UPS, PDU’s, and utilities.
9. Provide fixes to facility and plant faults and defects.
10. Complete assigned work according to established processes and procedures, following all safety processes and requirements.
11. Conduct routine quality checks for comprehensive maintenance records.
12. Complete all required training to ensure successful completion of all job-related responsibilities.
13. Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems while having a limited opportunity to exercise discretion.
14. Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance.
What You’ll Need:
1. Training in a Technical discipline having served an apprenticeship or equivalent with 1-2 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
2. Ability to work shifts that may include weekends and holidays.
3. Must be able to meet the physical requirements of this role.
4. Effective communication skills to present information to internal departments, clients, management, and/or colleagues.
5. Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
6. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
7. Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
8. Basic math skills, with the ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages, discounts, and markups.
