Overview
We are looking for a Platform Characterisation Engineer to expand our capability to define and execute device level characterisation programs as part of the introduction of new process technology at Pragmatic Semiconductor.
The ideal candidate would have a background in electronics test, semiconductors device physics and compact model development. An ability to analyse large datasets using programmatic approaches would also be highly beneficial.
This is an opportunity to join the fast-growing Technology Platform team at Pragmatic Semiconductor and play a part in the expansion and development of an efficient and capable design platform for our technology as well as product design and development.
Key Tasks
* Working within the “New Technology Introduction” process to define and execute platform characterisation programs to validate the device level electrical performance of individual thin film transistors and similar components of a new technology platform.
* Interface between Emerging Technology and Operations teams to take nascent technology from initial understanding through to release for volume manufacture.
* Work with the test development and manufacturing test teams to generate wafer level data.
* Develop methods for expressing device level electrical performance to internal teams and external customers through documentation, models, tools.
* Efficient and timely analysis of large datasets, providing summaries highlighting key trends and linking these trends to physical mechanisms.
Qualifications and Training
* MSc / Degree (Engineering / Maths/ Physics /Electronics Science) or equivalent experience.
* PhD in applicable field, desirable.
Essential Skills and Experience
* Semiconductor device physics background.
* Statistical data analysis techniques using tools such as Python, MATLAB, etc.
* Compact model development for semiconductor devices.
* 2+ years in a device level characterisation or equivalent role.
Desirable Skills and Experience
* Experience working with cross functional teams.
* Experience working with silicon foundry PDKs, compact models.
* Novel semiconductor materials and electrical properties.
* Hands on wafer level electrical measurement.
Pragmatic is committed to equity, equality, diversity, and inclusion; we strive to welcome everyone and create inclusive teams. We celebrate difference and encourage everyone to be themselves at work. Please let us know if you would like any adjustments to our application and interview process.
