Job Title: Personal Tax Senior
An experienced Personal Tax Senior is required to join a well-established accountancy practice based in Northwich, Chester, on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a very busy, fast-paced and varied personal tax position for an experienced tax-focused individual who enjoys planning, compliance and preparation of personal tax returns.
Personal Tax Senior Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Personal Tax Senior to:
* Plan, prepare and carry out personal tax returns
* Review the work of more junior tax colleagues
* Liaise with HMRC
* Correctly calculate tax liability and communicate this with clients
* Completion of client P11D forms and submission of these to HMRC
* Keep knowledge updated including tax laws and regulations, including new filing practices, deadlines, and any company-specific information.
Personal Tax Senior Job Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* At least 3 years' experience in a UK accountancy practice in a tax lead role
* Excellent personal tax experience
* Able to work on your own initiative but also a good team player with great interpersonal skills which will be required to work in a small dedicated team
* Tax or accountancy qualifications such as AAT, ATT, CTA or ACCA or working towards would be an advantage, there is the opportunity for further study would be available to the right person
* Highly organised and a good planner with efficient time management and able to work under pressure at certain times of the year
* Happy to assist colleagues with their portfolios, where there are workflow pressures
* Based within a reasonable commute of Northwich, Cheshire
Personal Tax Senior Salary & Benefits
The salary for this role is £35,000 - £40,000 per annum, dependent on experience. You will also receive:
