As an Electrical Design Engineer working with the Facility Design engineering team, you will help define and support a wide range of projects covering whole engine and rig testing across New Production, Overhaul and Development programmes within the Defence Sector.

What You Will Be Doing
As the Electrical Design Engineer you will be working with a number of teams and stakeholders across the business on a variety of bespoke projects. Working with a diverse team you will be utilising your electrical power systems and electrical safety knowledge to guide projects and stakeholders from start to completion.
1. Leading the technical solutions required to deliver the necessary electrical capability in the test facilities.
2. Investigating and troubleshooting existing electrical and control systems installed on operational test facilities.
3. Introducing appropriate technology and latest standards into existing designs with a view to improving efficiency and effectiveness.
4. Fully participating in multi-function design reviews to ensure alignment of customer requirements and proposed design.
Who We’re Looking For
1. Hands on Electrical Design, Installation, Development, Commissioning, Maintenance or Servicing experience working with bespoke equipment (Machine Tools, Test Rigs, Capital Equipment)
2. Experience working with PLC driven equipment (fault finding/basic programming)
3. Understanding of Power Systems and HV Systems is desirable but not essential.
4. Knowledge of design and installation of plant control systems.
5. Experience of system diagnosis/fault finding.
6. Electrical Qualifications - NVQ, HNC, HND or degree level (or relevant experience).
