Our Marketing Department, based at our Nottingham Head Office, covers a wide range of tasks, including catalogue production, print advertising, out of home digital advertising, video production, social media, e-commerce and more. The Role: Price Comparison: Using subscription software to compare pricing across both like-for-like and comparable “matched” products, and providing reports in relation to this. Customer Record Maintenance: Working with subscription software and an Access database to clean and optimise customer records in preparation for marketing campaigns. E-Commerce Tasks: Amending websites, adding new products, aligning, and improving data. Competitor Research: Research into comparable competitor goods and services as required and produce reports. POS: Using Bartender Software to produce shelf edge labels and other POS material and distribute to stores. The Person: This role requires the successful applicant to be confident and comfortable with different types of software. Due to the technical nature of our industry and product range, it is essential to take an interest in technical, practical, engineering-related products and to understand and translate technical specifications. Being highly organised and systematic is a must, as is a passion for cleaning and tidying data to optimise it for both customers and our own purposes. Experience in similar marketing functions is desirable, but the ability to demonstrate aptitude in working with software and enthusiasm in the technically oriented tools and machinery industry is more important. Very good written English is essential, while education to degree level is desirable but not essential.
