Job Title: Clinical Nursing Manager
Salary: From £32k(D.O.E)

Job Type: 12 month FTC starting September 2024 (negotiable)
Hours: 40 hours per week - 1 in 7 on call weekend.
Shifts Include: Full time, shifts are 7-1, 7.30-4.30, 9.30-6.30, 12-9, no on call during the week and currently 1 in 7 weekends on rota.
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to act as Clinical Nursing Manager (CNM) to our friendly and experienced team. This is a fixed term position for 12 months maternity cover or return of the post holder.
About Us:
We are a busy small animal first opinion practice in the centre of Newmarket, Suffolk. We have a team of 7 RVNs, 4 Veterinary Surgeons, 5 Client Care colleagues, and we work alongside in-house specialists which consist of a cardiologist, ophthalmologist, and an orthopaedic surgeon. We will soon be undergoing a full practice refurbishment due to be complete in early 2025.
Roles and Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be an experienced RVN with proven experience in leading and managing an RVN team but will benefit from the support of the Clinical Director, Practice Manager, and Regional Nursing Manager. The role is full-time combining 4 days clinical activity and 1 day off clinic for administrative duties.
The Clinical Nursing Manager (CNM) role is key to the business's ability to provide a high level of clinical standards. This will include strategic, professional, and operational leadership to the nursing team across the practice and also provide a nursing voice at a senior level. The CNM will ensure that patients are managed as effectively as possible from a nursing perspective to support the growth of the practice. Working enthusiastically with your team, you will help maintain a happy, efficient working environment, whilst ensuring practice policies and group policies are adhered to at all times whilst providing outstanding patient and client care.
We are keen for nurses to enhance and utilise their skills. RVN clinical activity includes consultations, anaesthesia, blood sampling and intravenous cannulation, radiography, dental scale and polishing, and Schedule 3 surgical procedures. The role holder will be encouraged to complete the Linnaeus AVA Accredited Primary Care Nursing Anaesthesia Course as well as benefiting from other CPD opportunities.
