As we scale, we are looking for a Head of Business Development to help structure our sales processes, manage client relationships, and drive revenue growth. This role is a hybrid between sales operations, client success, and business development—perfect for someone who thrives at the intersection of strategy, execution, and relationship management.
Key Responsibilities1. Sales Process Setup & Optimization
* Design and implement a structured, repeatable sales process that aligns with our VC-focused research and investment solutions.
* Develop and refine lead qualification criteria to ensure we engage high-value prospects.
* Work closely with internal teams (investment, product, and marketing) to align sales efforts with business goals.
* Set up and optimize CRM tools, automation, and reporting systems to track pipeline performance.
2. Business Development & Revenue Growth
* Identify and engage VC firms, institutional investors, and other potential clients who would benefit from Arcanis’ intelligence platform.
* Develop tailored sales strategies for different investor profiles, from large VC funds to niche investment firms.
* Conduct market research to refine our outreach and positioning in the venture capital space.
* Help define pricing models and sales collateral to support client acquisition.
3. Client Relationship Management & Retention
* Serve as the primary point of contact for new and existing clients, ensuring they fully understand and maximize the value of our data and reports.
* Onboard new clients and provide strategic guidance on how Arcanis Intelligence can support their investment decisions.
* Act as a feedback loop between clients and product teams to refine offerings and improve user experience.
* Proactively identify expansion opportunities with existing clients and implement upsell/cross-sell strategies.
4. Reporting & Performance Tracking
* Monitor key sales and client success metrics, ensuring data-driven decision-making.
* Regularly report on pipeline health, conversion rates, and client engagement trends.
* Work with leadership to forecast revenue growth and refine sales strategies accordingly.
What We’re Looking For
* 5+ years in a sales operations, business development, or client relationship role, ideally in a VC, investment, or fintech environment.
* Strong understanding of venture capital, financial services, or AI-powered data solutions.
* Experience in setting up and optimizing sales processes and CRM systems (HubSpot, Salesforce, etc.).
* Excellent relationship-building skills and a client-first mindset.
* Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
* Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into actionable insights.
* Prior experience in a fast-paced startup or high-growth environment is a plus.
