The Key Account Manager will take ownership of the relationships and continued development of existing and new key customers across all modes, focusing on retention of existing business in addition to identifying opportunities to grow share of wallet.
Main Responsibilities Lead customer weekly/monthly meetings/calls as well as business/KPIs reviews Develop and maintain account development plan for each account identifying current share of business and additional opportunities Provide market intelligence and updates on an ongoing basis Review current and potential future system integration opportunities Drive MVT software utilisation and development Troubleshoot and resolve customer complaints including future corrective action Work closely with the pricing and procurement teams on quotations and tender responses Focus on building relationships with selected customers Support collection process ensuring customers pay in accordance with agreed credit terms Ensure new customers or lanes are implemented correctly in conjunction with the onboarding team Support marketing campaigns and customer entertainment Work as part of a team sharing knowledge and experience proactively What We’re Looking For Experience: An experienced freight forward / logistics account manager Knowledge of air freight would be of particular interest Evidence of growth from an existing account portfolio Skills: Effective communicator up to and including Board level Ability to manage customers utilising a CRM system Proactive approach to problem solving Ability to influence internally and externally with colleagues, peers, suppliers and customers.
Ability to prioritise and focus on key deliverables Commercial mindset to maximise opportunities Essentials Full UK driving licence Passport and ability to travel overseas as required Flexible approach to working as the role may require attendance at out of hours hospitality events Why choose Metro?
