Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Human Resources Business Partner to join the Data, Power & Control Division in Reading, UK. The HR Business Partner will join the rapidly expanding Starline team as the sole HR representative at our Reading facility. This role will provide strategic support to our Operations team, which consists of approximately 120 employees. You will collaborate closely with operational leaders at the Reading site to align HR initiatives with business objectives, foster employee engagement, and cultivate a high-performance culture. You will be instrumental in managing various HR functions to ensure our people practices enhance operational efficiency and support our growth initiatives.
Key responsibilities include:
* Overseeing staffing and onboarding
* Managing compensation and benefits
* Addressing employee relations
* Organizing company events
* Facilitating training and development
* Interpreting and applying policies
* Ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations
* Handling HR/payroll system transactions
Interfaces with Corporate HR staff on HR projects and implements new or revised policies, processes, and programs, and HR Operations on day-to-day HR activities.
Main Job Duties:
* Compliance: Assists with the development of policies, practices, and procedures as it relates to Human Resources. Communicates and ensures compliance with established policies and procedures.
* Compensation & Benefits: Provides support to both employees and managers in compensation and benefits administration.
* Performance Management: Manages the performance review process for the assigned location and coaches managers on conducting meaningful goal setting and performance feedback discussions.
* HRIS Support: Supports HRIS system administration and handles generation and processing of job and personnel changes.
* Employee Recognition: Manages projects to support HR initiatives and employee relations/morale programs.
* Recruitment & Staffing: Recruits, screens, and refers candidates to fill open positions.
* Employee Onboarding: Coordinates the orientation of new and reassigned employees.
* Employee Relations: Maintains positive employee relations with the workforce.
* Performs other similar and related duties as required.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
* Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or related field
* Minimum 5 years of progressive HR experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a global business with more than $100M in revenue
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
* Experience with HRIS systems a must, Oracle preferred.
* Experience with compensation analysis and benchmarking is required.
* Knowledge of complex disciplinary, grievance, redundancy, and absence management required.
* In-depth knowledge of UK HR practices and labor law.
* Knowledge of TUPE (desirable).
* Must have exceptional people skills.
* Requires strong organizational and time management skills.
* Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Must be highly collaborative and able to work in a team-based environment.
* Must have solid business acumen.
