Job Title: Senior Support Worker
Position Type: Full-time | Hourly Rate: £14 Per Hour
At Live Connected, we are dedicated to supporting individuals with Learning Disabilities and/or Mental Health needs to move into their own homes, regardless of how complex their requirements.
As a Senior Support Worker, you will promote and ensure the implementation of the company’s person-centred support vision, maintaining individuals' potential and independence while completing all necessary back-office duties within compliance.
You will work with a degree of autonomy, using your initiative to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures. It is essential to work cooperatively with others, enabling service users to live in their own homes or within their community with dignity and confidence.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
* Current registration with NISCC or eligibility for registration upon appointment
* Full, valid driving license or ability to travel independently to meet the post's requirements
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Service Requirements
* Provide high-quality care to our service users.
* Participate in on-call duties during weekends and cover in the absence of the Team Leader.
* Assist with the shadowing and 12-week induction of new staff, ensuring documentation is completed and submitted on time.
* Report staff or service user concerns, grievances, and complaints promptly to the Service Manager.
* Ensure staff have necessary protective items such as aprons and gloves.
* Maintain up-to-date and high-standard audits.
* Carry out risk assessments and report promptly.
* Maintain confidentiality in accordance with the Company Handbook.
* Comply with all policies and procedures, including the Connected Health Policies and Procedures Manuals.
* Participate in emergency cover across multiple services as required.
* Engage in training and professional development.
* Perform any other duties reasonably expected within the scope of the post.
* Implement a Keyworker system where appropriate to assess and improve the quality of care, seeking service users’ views and implementing measures to meet objectives.
* Support service users in attending health screening appointments.
* Conduct return-to-work interviews for staff absent due to sickness, pregnancy, family emergencies, etc.
* Encourage service users to develop community connections, hobbies, interests, and employment opportunities, providing creative and challenging support.
