We have an exciting opportunity to join our team of administrative staff at our central Brighton campus. This site has recently benefited from a 16-million-pound reinvestment, and we are proud to offer our school leavers, apprentices and adult learners cutting edge facilities in the heart of the City.
We are looking for a dynamic individual to be part of the team who deliver an outstanding service for staff, students, and our external partners. We are offering an interesting and rewarding experience within a varied, creative department and opportunities for you to develop your skills as part of a friendly and supportive team.
Responsibilities:
1. Undertake a range of administrative duties to support the work of our curriculum teams and the delivery of cross-college initiatives.
2. Provide administrative support to the Business Administration Manager, the Head of Learning, and the Department Management team.
3. Handle multiple work streams and events concurrently; multi-tasking is key.
4. Maintain a strong customer focus while interacting with staff, students, parents, external suppliers, community, awarding bodies, local employers, and stakeholders.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Experience in an administrative role and a customer-focused environment.
2. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
3. IT and keyboard skills.
4. Level 2 English and Maths.
The post is 30 hours per week (4 days a week), over 52 weeks a year. Our administrative teams cover Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm. The working pattern will be discussed at interview.
Please note that there may be a requirement to support evening or weekend events; any such arrangement would be agreed in advance and time off in lieu would be arranged.
