Job Overview
We are seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist to provide high-quality respiratory care in collaboration with ICU, CCU, Emergency, and Medical-Surgical teams. The ideal candidate will be an integral part of a patient-centered care approach, working closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver the best possible outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
* Administer respiratory care treatments and procedures per physician orders
* Monitor patient responses and adjust care plans accordingly
* Collaborate with medical teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
* Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
* Provide education to patients and families on respiratory therapies and home care plans
Qualifications
Experience:
* At least six months of experience as a Staff Therapist preferred but not required
Education & Training:
* Graduate of an AMA-approved Respiratory Therapy program at the Registry level
* Must meet all mandatory hospital education requirements annually
Licensure & Certifications:
* Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
* Massachusetts Respiratory Therapist (MARTL) license
* CPR certification
Additional Requirements:
* Strong interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written
* Ability to effectively problem-solve and work collaboratively in a team environment
* Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
Work Schedule
* Shifts: 7 am - 7 pm Variable Days
* Rotating weekends and holidays
* SEIU Union Position
