Were looking for a skilled Contractor Host with an electrical bias to join our team at our facility in Ware. This vital role ensures all electrical contractor work is performed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Serve as the primary point of contact for on:site contractors, especially those performing electrical work.
* Enforce health and safety standards and electrical compliance regulations throughout all contractor work.
* Review and approve method statements and risk assessments.
* Manage site access, permits to work, and ensure all documentation is current.
* Schedule contractor tasks to minimize operational disruptions.
* Conduct toolbox talks and oversee site inductions.
* Monitor contractor performance, compliance, and report on progress.
Requirements:
* Electrical qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3, 18th Edition, or equivalent).
* Proven experience in a similar role within facilities, manufacturing, or industrial environments.
* Comprehensive knowledge of electrical safety standards and relevant legislation.
* Confidence in supervising third:party contractors and handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Excellent communication and organizational skills.
* Experience with permit:to:work systems and H and S protocols.
Desirable:
* IOSH or NEBOSH certificate.
* Experience in highly regulated or high:risk environments (e.g., food manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, utilities).
