Overview of the role:
Due to planned growth and an influx of work in their Southwestern Region, they are looking to appoint, on a permanent basis ideally a Senior Site Agent / Project Manager to work in the Thames Valley Region located between Bristol and Surrey.
The ideal candidate will be based around Wiltshire, Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire, Berkshire or Surrey, although those based in other locations will be considered.
Initially, you will be managing civil engineering projects predominantly in the water and wastewater sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Management of site staff operatives and sub-contractors.
2. Preparing and monitoring programmes of work.
3. Provide method statements, hazard risk assessments and project management plans.
4. Understand tender allowances and monitor contract costs against agreed budgets.
5. Manage design co-ordination.
6. Assessment and engagement of sub-contractors.
7. Understand and administer contract change.
8. Inform, consult, and involve local groups as necessary.
9. Foster good relations and reputation with clients.
10. Promote and ensure all work complies with safety, quality and environmental policies and the requirements of the company procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
Already experienced as a Site Agent / Project Manager you will have a relevant industry qualification (HND/ HNC/ BEng) or equivalent, an up to date SMSTS qualification, and appropriate CSCS card. A First Aid at Work qualification is desirable.
Experienced in people management and motivation of staff.
A good organiser, both of self and others with the ability to think in advance.
Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK. Due to the nature of the role a full UK driving license is essential and the successful candidate will be happy to travel throughout our Southern Region. A First Aid at Work qualification would also be desirable.
