Our Occupational Therapy Assistants need to be resilient, adaptable, organised and able to work in a fast-paced environment. You'll need to work efficientlyand accurately record your work using electronic systems. You'll need to be committed to learning about Occupational Therapy and how to implement it in practice. You'll enjoy working with people and optimising their wellbeing. There is a requirement to be able to travel across the county and work from various locations. The role will also involve complex physical interventions, including transporting, demonstrating and using occupational therapy related equipmentand manual handling procedures. There is a regular and intrinsic requirement to communicate in English with members of the public.
You will work as a part of a strong and dynamic Occupational Therapy serviceas a member of an area-based team.In this role you will undertake strengths-based assessments via a variety of mediums (e.g.telephone / video assessment, home-based assessment) with the guidance of an HCPC registered occupational therapist(as directed by Care Act 2014),utilisingyourskills and knowledge to develop and implement a plan of support aimed at improving wellbeingand delivering outcomes for people. ...
