Location: East Sussex Hybrid working: 2 to 3 Days office based and 2 to 3 days from home The Role: Our client, a dynamic high-growth challenger, is seeking to recruit a New Product Development Manager to join their team. This opportunity is perfect for someone with experience in new product development from conception to launch and a passion for bringing innovative products to market in a fast-paced, rapidly growing business. Key Responsibilities: Oversee and manage the entire new product development (NPD) pipeline from concept to launch, ensuring comprehensive category and product lifecycle management. Collaborate effectively across all levels and departments to drive NPD initiatives. Refine new product formulations and enhance existing offerings by leveraging market research, consumer feedback, and regulatory insights. Identify and evaluate suppliers and ingredients, prioritizing quality and sustainability. Optimize formulas and manage supply chain logistics to ensure timely, cost-effective product delivery. Conduct and oversee rigorous quality control and third-party testing to guarantee compliance with UK, EU, and US safety and regulatory standards. Partner with the Head of Innovation to manage critical paths and achieve launch deadlines. Enhance internal NPD processes and maintain meticulous documentation. Stay updated on industry regulations, standards, and guidelines to continually contribute to the team’s knowledge base and innovation capacity. Experience required: Proven experience in developing innovative, market-disruptive products in food, drink, or wellness. Preferred experience in sourcing/identifying sustainable ingredients Familiar with regulatory requirements in the UK, EU, and US. Exceptional communication skills and a strong track record of cross-departmental collaboration. Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment with excellent task prioritization and deadline management. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for addressing formulation challenges and optimizing product performance. Extensive project management experience with excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage tight deadlines. The Process?
