The Deputy Manager post offers an opportunity to shape and change the lives of children with intellectual disabilities and autism, ensuring they feel safe and cared for in a loving home-from-home family environment. We seek someone to support the wider Above and Beyond Care Group to develop and inspire our team and children to achieve their full potential.
The Deputy Manager will work alongside the registered Manager to oversee the running of the home and improve the lives of children and young people. The Deputy Manager monitors the progress of the children, young people, and the team, looking to establish innovative ways to support growth and development. They will oversee the home in the Manager's absence, ensuring that the high standards detailed within the home's statement of purpose are maintained.
To be effective in this role, the post holder will need supervising experience in a residential setting. Leadership skills to effectively lead a team and be proactive in ensuring quality care is available to all young people within the service through direct support team management are essential. Acting as an excellent role model, monitoring and influencing performance, problem-solving, and using analytical skills are all primary aspects of this role.
Your hours of work will be 40 per week, with qualifying days from Monday to Friday. While the role is not primarily one of direct support to young people, there is an expectation that this would be provided by the post holder as necessary.
The successful applicants will be appointed subject to references, enhanced DBS checks, and screening.

Reference ID: Minimum Level 3 Children and Young People’s Workforce Diploma or NVQ3 Caring for Children and Young People or NVQ3 Health and Social Care. Have at least two years of experience working with children and young people. A driving licence is preferred.
