The Role
As a Product Safety Manager, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring that our products and services are safe for customers and protect users from potential hazards.
Day-to-day, you’ll ensure the reliability, safety, and performance of systems and components whilst helping to shape innovation.
* Implement the company’s product safety strategy and policies
* Identify potential safety issues and recommend corrective actions
* Ensure products meet applicable safety standards, laws, and regulations
* Approve risk mitigation plans and ensure the implementation of corrective actions
* Develop and execute safety testing protocols
This role is full time, 37.5 hours per week and requires regular travel to a number of locations including Bristol, Walsall, and Plymouth.
Experience required of the Product Safety Manager
* Strong knowledge of product safety standards and regulations
* Knowledge of safety certifications
* Proficiency in risk assessment tools and techniques (FMEA, HAZOP etc)
* Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Qualifications for the Product Safety Manager
* Degree qualified in a relevant engineering subject (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil etc)
* Safety-related qualification/certification preferred
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
