The Role : We are seeking a confident and driven Quality and Risk Manager (Registered Nurse) who possesses the ability to cooperate with and influence site staff to adopt a sturdy and effective continuous improvement culture.
The Quality & Risk Manager will report directly to the CEO and will be responsible for championing quality and continuous improvement activities across a portfolio of homes located in Melbourne metro areas. The position will require travel to the various homes and head office, which is based in the South Eastern suburbs.
Responsibilities include :
* Ensuring quality systems are managed and all employees are working within the Quality framework.
* Creating and maintaining an Internal Audit program that measures organizational performance against the Aged Care Quality Standards.
* Identifying adverse and emerging trends and, in collaboration with Senior Executives, developing action plans to rectify areas of poor performance.
* Supporting the Homes during agency visits and accreditation.
* Providing training and mentoring to the clinical teams and implementing education, process changes, and initiatives to achieve best practice outcomes.
* Responsibility for the revision of national quality indicators program, reportable incidents & mandatory reporting (SIRS).
You will need to have a strong understanding of compliance and quality improvement outcomes in a residential aged care environment, as well as strong data analysis and clinical skills for informed decision-making and continuous improvement.
Minimum Requirements :
* Current AHPRA registration as an RN.
* Minimum 2-3 years in a Governance, Risk, or Quality role in aged care.
* Knowledge of aged care accreditation standards and changes.
* Strong auditing and analysis skills.
* Ability to identify, mitigate, and prevent risks to ensure resident wellbeing.
