Capital School of English is an independent language school in Bournemouth on the south coast of England. We welcome students on Adult Courses (aged 16+) year-round, Mini-Stay School Groups (aged 12-18) year-round, and in July students aged 12-18 for our Summer Camp. We are a British Council accredited school.
We are looking for teachers who have a genuine interest in delivering interesting and engaging lessons that help students to develop their English Language skills and confidence on our courses.
ADULT COURSES: Teach mixed nationality classes to students aged 16+ following our syllabus based on our coursebooks.
MINI-STAY SCHOOL GROUPS: Teach mostly single nationality classes to students aged 12-18 following our pre-prepared teacher guides.
SUMMER CAMP: From June 30th to July 26th 2025. Teach mixed nationality classes to students aged 12-18 following our pre-prepared teacher guides.
You must be 18 or over and be legally entitled to work in the UK.
Positions available for between 9-30 of contact teaching hours per week (08:45-17:15, Monday-Friday) depending on your preferences/availability and levels of demand within the school.

Qualifications
You must have
- degree or equivalent level of education
- TEFL qualification (CELTA, Trinity, or equivalent with at least 6 hours supervised teaching practice and at 100 hours of ELT/TESOL input) or Online TEFL and willingness to complete Access TEFL course during employment.
- Native level in English
- Computer literate
NO experience required. We are a great school for newly qualified teachers as there is a lot of support and training.

Salary and Benefits
- Hourly pay rate starts at £15 per hour for TEFL qualified teachers and depends on other qualifications and experience.
- Statutory holiday entitlement/pay.
- Approximately 9-30 of contact teaching hours per week (08:45-17:15, Monday-Friday) depending on your preferences/availability and levels of demand within the school.
