The Opportunity
Outstanding opportunity for a Graduate Civil Engineer to join our rapidly expanding team in St Albans or Christchurch offices. We are looking for an Engineer passionate about creative design and has the desire to face challenges. The successful candidate will have the opportunity of joining our graduation program and path toward Chartership.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
1. Performing technical and feasibility studies
2. Assessing environmental impacts and other factors that may influence project implementation
3. Conducting health, safety and environmental impact evaluations to identify potential risk factors that may affect project delivery
4. Using engineering computer software to develop detailed project design
5. Supporting and collaborating within the team
Qualifications and Experience
1. Bachelor/Master’s degree in civil engineering or near completion
2. Essential knowledge of design civil software such as Autodesk, PDS, Flow, Civil 3Ds or similar
3. Knowledge and understanding of levels, drainage and surface water design
4. Good understanding of environmental impact and desire to create a sound solution to protect the environment
5. Analytical problem-solving skills
6. Good written and verbal communication skills
7. Working knowledge of relevant regulations and legislation
8. Continuing professional development to keep up to date with new technologies, materials and methods of construction
