Employee Relations Specialist / HR Case Manager

Join a dynamic organization as an Employee Relations Specialist / HR Case Manager, where you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting managers across the South West of England.
Purpose of the Role
You will provide expert HR advice and active support on complex matters, including capability, serious conduct, employee relations, suspensions, and investigation management. Acting as a trusted partner, you’ll coach managers, offer practical solutions, and ensure HR processes align with both business goals and legal frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage a portfolio of HR cases, prioritizing activities to meet deadlines and business needs.
* Provide proactive telephone and written HR advisory services to managers at all levels.
* Act as the HR lead on complex people matters, including hearings and appeals across various locations.
* Review and prepare investigation reports, formal letters, and other HR documentation.
* Accurately record case details in the Case Management System and drive cases to resolution.
* Coach managers on effective people management, focusing on decision-making, fairness, and consistency.
* Deliver pragmatic, business-focused HR solutions while adhering to legal and regulatory requirements.
* Collaborate with HR colleagues and stakeholders to ensure consistency and high-quality service.
What We’re Looking For
Qualifications and Skills:
* Proven experience managing complex HR cases in a fast-paced environment.
* Up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
* CIPD qualification (preferably Level 7) is highly desirable.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and coach at all levels.
* Experience in providing commercially aware, pragmatic HR advice.
* Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities.
* Full UK driving licence (for field-based responsibilities).
