Your Key Responsibilities: 1. Maintain comprehensive knowledge of and adhere to the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) standards and SRA account rules. 2. Process client and office account transactions in compliance with SRA rules and legal accounting standards. 3. Handle client funds, including receiving and paying disbursement payments, while maintaining accurate records. 4. Prepare quarterly cash flow analyses. 5. Manage payroll for employee wages, including staff pensions. 6. Post financial entries and maintain relevant documentation. 7. Prepare and submit financial reports, including bank reconciliations, cash flow reports, and VAT reports. 8. Assist with audits and prepare documentation for external audits. 9. Liaise with the firm's accountant as needed. 10. Regularly communicate with the senior partner, providing financial insights such as fee earner analysis, balance sheets, profit and loss accounts, and debtor lists. 11. Make payments on account applications to the Legal Aid Agency via the CCMS portal. 12. Attend relevant training sessions as required. Your Skills and Experience: - Proficiency in bookkeeping and accountancy. - Strong written and oral communication skills. - Excellent IT skills, with proficiency in INSIGHT (case management systems). - Exceptional organisational skills. - In-depth knowledge of SRA standards and regulations, as well as SRA account rules. - Familiarity with accounting and financial procedures. - Accreditation from the Institute of Legal Finance and Management (ILFM) is essential. - Previous experience working in a law firm is mandatory, though specific training related to the firm's practices will be provided.
